I love Buffalo and I love cauliflower. But chicken wings and fried veggies are so oily and full of fat. I wanted to create a recipe that would mimic the amazing flavor of Buffalo cauliflower without compromising on crunch and flavor. I hope you try it out!
Ingredients:
1 head of cauliflower
4 eggs
2 cups all purpose flower
1 tsp paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper
1 cup franks hot sauce
4 tbsp honey. (Optional: 2-4 tbsp earth balance/margarine)
.
Directions:
Either preheat your oven to 400 or your air fryer to 375.
Cut the cauliflower into even sizes florets. Set asides
In a bowl, crack the eggs. Set aside. In a second bowl, mix the flour with the spices.
Place the cauli pieces into flour, then egg and then flour again. Place on a baking tray or into your air fryer. Bake in the air fryer for 20 minutes or in the oven for 25 mins (or until crispy).
In a small bowl, mix the hot sauce and the honey in a bowl until the honey is fully incorporated. You can also melt ~2 tbsp of earth balance or margarine into the hot sauce mix to make it more mild. Mix with the cauliflower and serve hot. Enjoy!
